USA Cycling Official’s Clinic
Date: Saturday, March 23rd
Time: 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM (Could be let out earlier depending on how long it takes for you to complete the officials test)
Location: Our Savior Lutheran Church (We will meet in the parrish hall)
Address: 1615 Lake Avenue, Lake Worth, FL 33460
Items to bring: Pencil, Notebook or Notepad
I will be providing rulebooks for the clinic, and you can use those during the exam. You can also find the rulebook online at this link: http://www.usacycling.org/usa-cycling-rule-book.htm . It would be good to skim over parts of this, and know where certain things are for the test after the clinic. If you have specific questions about any rules, then please make a note and bring that to the clinic.
The clinic will focus more on expanding your knowledge of the basic functions of officiating, as well as the disciplines that you may work. If you are not familiar with all of the cycling disciplines that USA Cycling covers, then go to www.usacycling.org and click on the Disciplines drop down near the top of the screen. You will be able to work these events and gain experience once you are licensed.
Last, but not least, you can go to the following link to review some of the resources and information pertaining directly to officiating: http://www.usacycling.org/officials/ . Do not get worried about the forms, or programs that you see, as we will go over this in the clinic. I just want you to be familiar with where things are located beforehand.
Just remember to be at the clinic a few minutes before 9, as we will hit the road running at 9. Please respond to let me know that you are attending. I look forward to seeing you all Saturday morning, and working with you all!
Thanks,
Stuart
