The FBRA has awarded $2,950 in grants to Florida junior development teams. Grants were determined through an application process based on factors including 2013 junior race participation, coaching, and licensed 2014 riders. All teams will also be meeting educational requirements of the United States Olympic Committee and USA Cycling Safesport program to increase the awareness to prevent the potential physical and emotional abuse of athletes and to promote a safe environment for our junior cyclists. Those teams that applied and were awarded grants are: AAA Cycling Team, Boom Development Team, Interactive Metronome Cycling Team, Orlando Road Club, RedEye Velo Junior Cycling Race Development Team, Triton Multisport, Velobrew Cycling Club, and Wizard Racing Development Team.
