The 2016 State Road Race Championships that was scheduled on October 15-16th has been moved from Ocala to Dade City, Florida. The venue is the San Antonio course that was used in January at the Race for Humanity. Challenges with lodging surrounding the University of Florida football game as well as with several other 100 mile century events created conflicts for the Road Race event. The FBRA unanimously approved the request by Topview Sports to move the location to San Antonio.
This change in venue will affect the Junior 9-10, 11-12 & 13-14 riders. The Road Race Championship for those younger riders will be held on Saturday October 1st in conjunction with the Ferndale Circuit Race. This venue was unanimously approved by the FBRA due to the length and safety of the course.
